KE Asia Exposure and Prayer Trip 11 Jan - 11 Feb

Hallo all the friendly friends of KE Pretoria

Firstly I would like to thank Mark and Pauline for the peek into their experience of Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam and how God worked in each of them, enriching their relationship with Him. The show was great and you really wet our appetites to go a.s.a.p.

Pauline shared about the fine  mother of pearl art work of the "Agent Orange" victims and Mark had his ''''SURPRISE'''' Fireworks.

GOD IS ALWAYS GOOD

Also a thank you to JP and Rita for joining us, we have missed you and its good to see you again.

VERY SEXY in this photo, I wonder what pauline is thinking... Love the hat Mark. What are you hiding behind your back? That smile really gives you away...

Pauline you are a natural photographer, beautiful!

Also your thai curry, wonderfull.

Thank you for the post cards, all are reminded to enter into prayer for those on the card. Praying for the nations is part of our walk and the heart of God.

Remember, "Strategize as if there is no Prayer and Pray as if there is no Strategy".

Would cheap grace be trying to live off other people's experiences?
How do you know that you are indeed on the KE journey?
What can we do to be that thing that would give our children a Kingdom future?
Your journey = your revelation

HOW TO LIVE LIFE WITHOUT A SALARY

Saturday, 12 March
It was really great having JP & Rita with the Pta Fellowship for the first time!  We hope to see more of them while they are around in this coming year.

Living by faith is another way JP describes living/playing from God's hand.  We are all taught by Christ when He says:  "I do nothing but My Father's will." Once you believe He can do anything, you will go far in God.  Faith in the beginning looks like blind faith, but as you start walking on it, it solidifies underneath you and becomes more real than the ground under you.

Give yourself a hand if you are comforatable on earth - however, the chances are that you might be missing the Kingdom that requires great sacrifice from those who are willing to forsake all to follow Him..... But something that is a must is that you have to go to ZERO.

And our closing reminder: if you don't start out in missions you'll get caught up (and left behind) in religion

Why does KE meet?

Questions arose:
  • Time is so precious?
  • What is the bigger picture?
  • Does God need us to get together?
Answers provided:
  • We have a common goal
  • KE provides a telescope of vision
  • We encourage one another
But what do we want to gain by coming to KE?
We want to change, die to self, our 'soulish' desires calls to us each and every day.

Its not about input, its about output, e.g. what can we give? You can not become more like Christ, by just receiving - God gave!

Therefor we can encourage everyone in KE to be light bearers, to push out darkness in the world, being the salt of the earth.

Arno shares:

God plaas n begeerte in my hart, om KE toe te kom, iets is wakker in my.

Jeroen asks:

Why did God give us talents, if He wants us toe die... wont our talents die too?

KE answers:

God wants us to die to self, to be able to say at the end of the day.."God, I need You, cant do this by myself...my  hart is broken, fix me, lead me.."

Conclusion:

We can only be disappointed in ourselves...if we expect from ourselves.  Therefor, only God can provide, not us.  And whatever God does, He will maintain, but what we do....we need to maintain. Heb 13:21.
  • Die to self
  • Get a " pakslae "

So!!

We want to lose ourselves, God then can become more in us, and we can witness to our friends, and colleagues at work.

Sat 19 Feb 2011 - ons KE gemeenskap

Hello Almal!

Wow, wat ‘n great naweek!

Time is a MASTERpiece – die journey ontwikkel oor tyd. Michael lees:

A Healthy definition of love is crucial to understanding the central message of the bible. Love is not confined to sexuality, nor is it primarily a feeling at all. The bible teaches that love is a commitment, love is not dependent on good feelings, but rather on a consistent and courageous decision to extend oneself for the well being of another.
That commitment then produces good feeling, not the other way around.
Jesus became the perfect demonstration of Gods unconditional love for us by laying down his life for our benefit!”

Asian outreach and exposure trip winds down...

It's been 4 weeks for some of us here in Asia and it has truely been an eye opener... an experiencee that has the makings of changing our lives from here on.  The process of finding out what that means has only but started, another step in our individual journeys, keeping missions as our beacon, the Light of Christ our Light.

We are looking forward to sharing with you when we see you again!  Thank you so much for your prayers and partnerships, we could never work towards the purpose of missions without each of you.

Saterdag 22 Jan 2011

Vinnig het sy besef dat # to caravan with likeminded people # to put shoulder to the wheel # to start a world prayer life # to have a telescopic vision  die vinnigste manier was om haar roeping en doel te ontdek.

Haar eie woorde: "being on the journey tends to stretch one's faith but one step at a time the Lord opens it up".

"Do you want to find out who you are, find your gifts and flow with the Lord in this area of passion" kom 'journey' saam met ons.

Saturday 8 Jan 2011

Philip shared two topics with the group, namely community and journaling.

Community:

Join the caravan of travelers going in the same direction. Being on the journey alone, you are more prone to doubt from the enemy. No man is an island. We are part of the body of Yahushua; if one aches we all feel it - bump your toe and you will know it.

Our biggest obstacle within the community is becoming offended by what others say to us - As die skoot raak is, tjank die jakkals. If you are dead, you cannot hurt - are we dead yet?!

Community reveals our weaknesses, to grow our grace towards our brothers and sisters; to really understand and accept the grace He offers to us.  Yahuweh is a community - the Father, the Son, and the Set-apart Spirit (Ruach Hakodesh). He created people in His image, male and female – as it was not good for Adam to be alone. Once you have the same spirit, you will recognize those fellow believers who also have that one spirit, the Spirit of Yahuweh - who is with us always.

Serving Yahuweh puts a target on your back, but remember, He will lead you through the valley of the shadow of death.  We can only trust in Yahuweh - our journey develops that trust.  The trust will give us that peace that passes all understanding. Yahuweh walks a road with each one of us, the road He has mapped - we have nothing to fear, only the excitement at the adventure ahead.

Journaling:

We will only find completion by doing the will of Abba. The question is: What is His will?

In the old testament times, Yahuweh has spoken to mankind through a variety of ways e.g. dreams, prophecies, the urim and thummim, plagues, etc., and He normally chose a specific person on whom He poured out His spirit by speaking to them, but in the new testament times he poured it out on all believers. Yet, today we battle to hear Him because … we are too busy? too much clamour? we don't want to hear? Eliyah found Yahuweh in the still small voice. Unforgiveness and bitterness, can be a big stumbling block in hearing His voice.

We normally have 3 voices in our head - ourselves, the accuser, and the voice of Yahuweh. Who is the one speaking? How do I hear from Him?

Philip suggests that you ask Yahuweh a question and just write down what comes into your mind. The more you write, the less will be your own thoughts. Continuing the process until you have no more and then looking at the answers. Compare this in a group and see how you are in agreement. Many times we are in doubt as to whether we did hear the voice of Him - it is then that He just shows us that we do. He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Everybody then took a break to write down what they heard to the question: Father, what do you think of me?

Unfortunately, time did not allow all to share what they heard. Perhaps those who were present could share their ‘one-liner’ conclusion on the blog?

"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3 KJV)

We can talk to Him, because the veil was torn, and our High Priest has prepared the way.

Fellowship:

All in all we had a wonderful day of enjoying each other and the excellent Thai meal which Philip and his team prepared for us! Our prayers and blessings will accompany Philip on his adventure in getting to know Yahuweh Elohim while sharing Him with the Mokan people. Shalom.
