Bulgaria Exposure & Service Trip
Saturday 31 March is the day air tickets will be booked for the team to leave on Friday 18 May and return Saturday 2 June. If you feel you want to be of service to the KE house repairing project and get a feel for the East European unreached peoples, this trip is for you. Contact Mark Enrieu for details
Friday 23 March 2012
It was a privelege to give honour to a prayer warrior that has gone home. Renee Dutrieux was 86 years old when her body and spirit parted ways and thus was buried in the Waterfall cemetry in Midrand. We just want to say "WELL DONE" to Francoise and Dorianne that organised a memrobable funeral for those who could attend and it the absence of JP, Rita and Jordan.
May this also be a time for introspect for you as you contemplate where you are with yourself and others.

Sat 17 March - Prayer that gets results
Juanita spoke from a book by EM Bounds, and specifically chapter 13 Prayer & Missions
The success of all real missionary effort is dependent on prayer
An anti-missionary Christian is a contradiction in terms. We might say that it would be impossible to be an anti-missionary Christian because of the impossibility for the divine and human forces to put men in such a state as not to align them with the missionary cause. Missionary impulse is the heartbeat of our Lord Jesus Christ sending His own vital forces through the whole body of the church. The spiritual life of God's people rises or falls with the force of those heartbeats. When these life forces cease, then death ensues. Likewise, anti-missionary churches are dead churches, just as anti-missionary Christians are dead Christians.
A praying church (today, praying believers or senders) through Jesus Christ, will gain victory on every battlefield in heathen lands. It is as true in foreign fields as it is in homelands. The praying church wins the contest. The home church has done but a paltry thing when she has furnished the money to establish missions and support her missionaries. Money is important, but money without prayer is powerless in the face of the darkness, the wretchedness, and the sin in unchristianized lands. Prayerless giving breeds barrenness and death. Poor praying at home is the solution for poor results in the foreign field. Prayerless giving is the secret of all crises in the missionary movements of the day and is the occasion of the accumulation of debts in missionary boards.
The people who give will not necessarily pray. Many in our churches are liberal givers who are noted for their prayerlessness. One of the evils of the present-day missionary movement lies just there. Giving is entirely removed from prayer. Prayer receives scant attention, while giving stands out prominently. Those who truly pray will be moved to give. Praying creates a giving spirit. The praying ones will give liberally and self-denyingly. He who enters his closet in prayer to God will also open his purse to God. But mechanical, reluctant giving kills the very spirit of prayer. Emphasizing the material to the neglect of the spiritual, by an inexorable law, retires and discounts the spiritual.
We then prayed & interceded for our missionaries as well as those the Spirit put on our hearts. Among others, we prayed specifically for JP and his family abroad as well as at home. It was the next day that we heard that his mom who had been ill for many months, had peacefully gone to be with the Lord. We are greatful to know that the our prayers moves the Hands that moves the world.

Thu 9 - Sun 11 March: Mapping Point
"The best use of life is to spend it on something that outlasts life"
- introduction quote of a Bible translation clip from Wycliffe
We said it again ... missions is the centrality of the bible...
The aim of going cross cultural unreached is not for adapted evangelism
Evangelism and missions are wordviews apart!
Go on the journey and risk your life for His Kingdom... you were made for it

Sat 18 Feb - Keep the Vision...
It was good to get together again and hear how people are doing so far this year!
Jacques had his birthday, Mike & Kim are back from their cross cultural Mauritius honeymoon, Jeroen was wondering about voluntary/involuntary going, Ansie is busy with research and took some American Wycliffers to Pilansburg, Juanita has started a Counselling as well as a part time bible school course, Leone is full time at bible school, Jana is growing her baby, Mark is focused on yet another tax deadline, Estelle is unlearning stuff and found "The Purpose of the Wilderness", and Paulien is busy with a fabric painting course for Friends/Arts for Life.
JP was visiting and we will most probably only see him & Rita again after their Bulgaria trip somewhere in June/July. He is currently presenting World Perspectives at the bible school and running Starting Points among a myriad of other activities. Jared & Sanchia is doing DTS in Chennai India and Alison has left for the UK.
The topic is 'so what's next?' After 'Catch the vision' (motivation), we have all stepped into 'Keeping the Vision' (integration ie. the next steps), and hopefully we will grow towards 'Obey the vision' (specialisation) once we successfully slot into our Kingdom callings.
Missions is the alignment catalyst towards our callings
God measures in growth
What do you think "The Vision" mentioned is?
To make "centrality of missions" meaningful in your life, means that your life priorities will be re-organised
Perspectives/P2P is NOT a new way of doing evangelism...
Future cultural exposure trips: Bulgaria will most probably happen towards the end of April/beginning May. Sept/Oct could see us go to south-China...and perhaps independant trips to Thailand & Malaysia.... keep your finger on the pulse

Sat 28 Jan - MEMBER CARE
Growing towards adequate maturity also means personal issues get sorted. The journey is designed by our Father to bring up the areas of your life that keeps on hindering you and others, in order to get to that place of taking responsibility for the establishment of the Kingdom.
Saturday night Alison made her Member Care work practical for those who attended. She was clear, to the point and used scripture in her approach to help us overcome issues or identify where we possibly got stuck. It was an amazing time of hands-on ministry and taking stock of self.
We crossed one of the first bridges as a community. Alison was timeous with touching on the toxicity of 'harmony at all cost'.... a key truth being other people's feelings are not your responsibility.....
Alison leaves for the UK this coming weekend and we hope to see her again during this coming year. The aim is to present an inner healing course for the KE camp. God speed friend!
