KE Werkswinkel Fri 15 - Sun 17 April:  the centrality of missions in church

(3)COMMUNITY: A BY-PRODUCT OF FAITH?

Before you answer, read Acts 2:42-47 & Acts 4:32-36.

Is the byproduct of faith, spirit filled saints who live and share in community? If you lay down everything, what is available to the advancement of His Kingdom and what would be left for yourself? Could that be the key to revival?
It was proposed that being a disciple goes hand in hand with community living. God loves us so (chose to,  not because he needs us, but chose to use us as His vessels), that He gave  His Son Jesus and will not stop trying to put us in situations where we might choose Him also. 'Pruned if you do and pruned if you don`t choose Him'.

For example, compare the tragedies that hit Japan and Haiti as well as the results of a community sharing and caring and one that did not, which was better off? This community is amongst unbelievers. God can make a donkey speak!... maybe he wants to tell us something through these disasters, not only for the people suffering as a result of having nothing left, but also for us the far away believers?  Does God hold your life in His hand...and can He take it away now...and can He send disaster to your house or your land?  By exposing us to disasters and tragedies, could it be that God not only shows his love towards us, but also demonstrates that he is a God that deserves to be feared.

Now we can think of community living again, and calculate the cost. (Luk14:26-28)

It truly was a special occasion and once again an opportunity to reflect on how much are we willing to sacrifice for God`s Kingdom.

We received valuable feedback from Philip`s journey and was grateful to hear from a new member, Shawn, and his journey with God.
Thank you Jeroen, for researching this topic, so relevant in these times, as you rightly said "In our culture we have lost community living, and is an essential part of supporting and encouraging one another as fellow believers, it was not designed for us to walk alone"
